These two drawings are on the wall of the observatory on Mount Wilson, California.
The man who has been recording the movements of the sun through his sun telescope for the last
thirty years is no longer employed by the observatory, but he continues to go to work every day
in order to continue his observations, lest we miss something.
Looking deeply into the human eye can reveal signs of disease in the body.
Looking deeply into the sun can reveal signs of ailments in the earth.

An anomaly in the landscape can generate a new idea. I glanced at this book every day for a week as I walked along the seafront in Brighton last Autumn.
Rain soaked deeper into the story and a page was turned with each passing day, perhaps an anonymous reader or perhaps just the wind.
